Submission Guidelines

We regret that Guppy Books is unable to accept manuscripts from unagented/unpublished authors at the moment.

However, we run an Open Submission Competition every year, alternating between middle-grade and young adult stories. We will soon be announcing dates in June when the competition opens so please keep your eye on our website/social media for details. This year’s competition (2026) will be for young adult novels.

NB: We do not publish children’s non-fiction or picture books.
